About Us

We believe there is a need for easy and affordable web availability for the small business owner.  When we say "small business," we envision no corporate budget for advertising and promotion - the cost of developing a web-site is a personal cost to the owner.

Many small business owners want a good looking web-site that will not cost them thousands of dollars to create and maintain. They want a single web-site contact who is easy to work with when designing and maintaining their web-site.

All our web-sites are customized and hand coded.  Hand coding facilitates flexibility and creativity in our approach to web-site design.  We specialize in designing web-sites that are particularly easy to maintain with updates.  Where a web-site contains information that will be updated on a regular basis, we will build in to the design the ability for you to easily perform the updates yourself, if that's your wish.  And, we can provide customized "how-to update your web-site" videos as part of the package where you can see for yourself that you won't have to learn any coding - you simply change the wording, click "save," and click "load to server."  Whether you need a single or multi-page web-site, we can design one that is particularly easy and inexpensive to maintain with regular updates.

Technically speaking: Our principle is Keep it Simple. Keeping it simple saves you money. To us, 'simple' means utilizing CSS - the movement in web page design with an eye toward the future and consistency. We use CSS layout keeping content and structure separate from styling. Go ahead, take a look under the hood - view our "page source." You will see that it is clean and organized. What does this mean to you? It means that you save money because CSS makes it quicker and easier to build and maintain web-sites - and CSS is the up-to-date standard. We validate all our pages against W3C standards, which speaks both to efficiency and quality.

Feel free to read this paragraph for more technical coding info ... Otherwise please skip to next paragraph. Our web-sites are fully tested in Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2.0.0.13, Safari 3.1, and Opera 9.26. We also test on Internet Explorer 6, which, believe it or not, is still widely in use. But what about support for the other browsers? Well, for one thing, as stated above, our web pages validate per World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards. That means that all browsers viewing our pages use a stricter and more established set of rules governing how the html and css coding translate to a page's display. Also, our pages will have no syntax typos as a result of validation. On top of that, we strive to keep our coding straight forward thus avoiding many quirky display modes of the older browsers. We find that relying on this disciplined approach is much more efficient than other approaches that require extensive testing on multiple browsers and their variety of versions. IE 5 and earlier browsers are particularly quirky and our view is that if pages look weird in those browsers, it's time for the browser to be updated or the PC to be replaced. IE 5 and earlier browsers may still be around, but they are now a small minority and everyday their numbers are reduced.

Following this, we believe in utilizing built-in html and css functionality as much as possible. We use javascript and other goodies only when there is a clear business value in doing so. We presume viewers have javascript enabled as is the case for the vast majority of viewers. To the extent behind the scene "server side" programming is indicated, we script with PHP and MySQL (the defacto standard). Keeping the coding straight forward and main stream is good business practice - for you!

The look: Although we strive to keep things simple, we think it is important that your web-site should look alive and fresh. We designed our templates for easy maintenance so that you will be more inclined to keep the content fresh and up-to-date. Also, we believe that adding a moving graphic and perhaps a video helps the site feel alive and engaging implying open for business.

We use all end-user equipment and software. This keeps the overhead down, and you can judge for yourself how our web-sites look on your PC.

My name is Tim Bozer. I began working with PCs over 20 years ago out of necessity in the job market. And even before Windows was introduced for PCs I was programming PCs with Turbo Pascal, Basic, and desktop database applications such as Enable and Quiz.

I started designing web-sites in the 1990's as a hobby. In the 21st century, I took on video and discovered that it goes well with web-sites. Did you know that the number of residential high speed connections surpassed dial-ups several years ago? That has very positive implications for the inclusion of video on websites. I offer some creative services with video and flash media.

I can quickly and efficiently build informational websites for small businesses and professionals. On top of that, I like developing functional and interactive websites for small non-profits incorporating technologies such as Flash, video, graphics, html, css, PHP, and MySQL.

Also, I really enjoy making website maintenance a very easy process for clients. For example, many people are comfortable using MS Office / Excel. Can you envision maintaining a spreadsheet with up-to-date information for your website and making website updates directly from the spreadsheet? It can be as easy as "Save As" and saving it directly to your website! I can build that functionality into your website.

Although this website includes information about do-it-yourself website updates, I want you to know that I know that that's not for everyone. I will be happy to take care of all your updates for you.

For non-profits and others requiring server side programming, we do log-in applications with easy-to-use interfaces for maintianing passwords, email lists, and calendars. We can also provide customized and easy to use on-line newsletters and blogs.

I work with clients who want a professional looking web-site that's easy and inexpensive to maintain; whose business demand is functionality, accessibility, and affordability. If you have a product, a service, or a non-profit organization and have thought about having a professional web-site, but the cost or the work involved dissuaded you, my services may be just what you need to get a web presence.

This web-site and all its components, as well as the sample web-sites, are a reflection of what I can provide for you.

Please contact me so we can discuss how I may help you.
